- This technique deposits colored pigment into the derms (the second layer of skin) with a state of the art digital device that regulates pigment placement, depth, and speed.
- The results are longer lasting than microblading*, which uses a set of needles lined together to penetrate pigment into the epidermis (the top, protective layer of the skin).
- *Since Microblading penetrates pigment into the epidermis, the protective layer of the skin, it may cause more trauma to the skin and has a higher risk of scarring and infection. For these reasons, I DO NOT offer microblading.
- Touch up is required to evaluate healed work, make adjustments, and fina ' lize the shape and color.

Pre-Care
Before your appointment pre-care
- Do not consume alcohol, caffeine, fish oils, or nicotine for at least 24 hours before your procedure. Consumption of these items can cause excessive bleeding, interrupt your skin’s healing process, and create increased sensitivity.
- Exfoliate the area & moisturize your skin for 1 week prior to your appointment to prep your skin for the procedure.
- Please eat something 20 - 30 minutes prior to your appointment. The appointment will take roughly 4 hours. Do not plan anything too closely after your appointment so that we are not rushed.
- If you bruise easily, we recommend taking Arnica before and after your procedure. Arnica is available at most health food stores.
- If you are required to take antibiotics before dental procedures, please follow the same instructions from your doctor before your procedure.
- If you are on blood thinners, check with your doctor to make sure you can go 24 hours without them. To be safe, it is advised to cease taking blood thinners for at least 1 week prior to your appointment. You make take them right after the procedure is finished.
- Botox & fillers must be done at least 4 weeks before or after your appointment.
- Please avoid any products containing Retin-A or AHA for 2 weeks prior to the procedure for your brow area. These products severly thin the skin and can cause excessive bleeding and interupt your skin’s healing process.
- You may request a patch test 2 weeks before the procedure. We are required by the color manufacturer to offer that to you (done behind your ear), but it is not needed. A patch test dose not ensure that you will not develop a reaction at a later time.
- Skin (CIT)
- Come to your appointment with a bare, cleansed face.
After-Care
Appointment After-Care
- Brows DAY OF PROCEDURE:
- Gently blot the area firmly with a damp cotton pad & warm water 1x an hour for 4 hours after the appointment. DO NOT WIPE.
- Blot periodically if needed before bed.
- Blot before bed & apply sheer/thin layer of aftercare ointment to each brow using a clean q-tip.
HOW YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR BROWS THE DAY YOU GET IT DONE WILL PREVENT A THICK SCAB FROM FORMING.
- FOR AT LEAST ONE WEEK POST-PROCEDURE OR UNTIL HEALING IS COMPLETE (WHICHEVER IS LONGER):
- Avoid vigorous exercise or excessive sweating until your brows are healed.
- At least 3x throughout the day: wash (blot) the area using a damp cotton pad. Blot more if necessary to prevent oil build-up.
- If the brows become dry / itchy, apply a sheer layer of aftecare cream to the brows with a cotton swab.
- Keep your hands clean and avoid touching the treated areas. When the area starts to flake, leave it. DO NOT PICK, PEEL, OR PULL ON THE SKIN OR TREATED AREA.
- Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds.
- Avoid exposing the area to excessive moisture or humidity, such as: facials, swimming in chlorine pools or recreational bodies of water, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, and steamy showers.
- No lotions, ointments, or makeup on the treated area until completely healed.
- Avoid harsh soaps and chemicals (including skin cleansers, makeup removers, alpha hydroxyl creams, and tooth whitening toothpaste) near the treated area until healed. Mild soap like cetaphil can be used gently over the area if needed.

- Do not resume any method of eyebrow hair removal or eyebrow tinting for at least 2 weeks.
- Avoid Retin-A, AHA, glycolic acids, exfoliants, and anti-aging products at all times (not just during healing) on all micropigmented areas. These can cause pigments to fade and lighten prematurely.
- LONG TERM CARE:
- Grooming may still be required to keep the shape clean from outside hairs and new hair growth.
- Use SPF on the brows to protect them from the sun and premature fading.
- WHAT TO EXPECT DURING THE HEALING PROCESS: For most, brows will heal within 7-14 days. Estimated timeline below.
- Day 1 - 3: Brows will look darker and thicker. Do not panic. It is still fresh and the scabbing process has not started.
- Day 4 - 7: Brows will begin to scab/flake & may appear patchy.
- Day 7 - 10: Brows are completely peeled & the color seem very faint/light.
- Day 11 - 35: Color will start to resurface, darken, & stabilize as your skin regenerates & pushes the pigment to the upper layers of the skin. Brows can take 6 - 8 weeks to show its true color.
